He spent his childhood in the mountains of Souni–Zanakia Village, located in Cyprus’s Limassol District, alongside his brother Christos Christodoulou and his sister Anna Christodoulou. His father, Stelios Christodoulou (originally from Limassol, Cyprus), worked as an Electronics Engineer. His mother, Soula Gabriel (from Vouni Village in the Limassol District), held positions as a supermarket cashier and department store manager before becoming a full-time housewife. Both parents were dedicated, putting in long hours to ensure their children had the life they deserved. They were ethical, intelligent, always with a good heart, and strict! The near perfect combo! Even amid their own hardships, they continually emphasized the value of education and hard work.
Andreas earned his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Peloponnese in Patras, Greece, graduating in 2012 with a focus on Energy Science & Engineering. Her particular interests are in EU funded programmes, on areas like technology enhanced learning, STEAM, multiliteracies pedagogy and design thinking for social change.
I owe everything to my parents and grandparents! They are the creators of my life and they deserve to be treated with dignity and respect! I’ll always honor their sacrifices and values! Once upon a time, in the humble embrace of a divided island since 1974, of a small, bustling community, in the hills and mountains, there lived a child whose world was painted with the colors of wounds, struggle, and perseverance. Born into a family tethered to the earth, their days were defined by the rhythm of hard work, collective healing, storytelling, and ancestral wisdom.
From the earliest moments of consciousness, this child was baptized in sweat and toil, their tiny hands molded by the calluses of labor. Raised under the watchful eyes of strict parents and grandparents, every sunrise ushered in a new opportunity, to appreciate the little things, to learn, to grow, and to contribute.
The old dirt roads whispered stories of surviving and of resilience and resilience became the silent anthem of their existence. Amidst the chaos of everyday tasks, the child’s hands became a symphony of skill and determination. They delved into the art of farming, milking cows, raising sheep, pigs, donkeys, chickens, pigeons, ducks, rabbits, dogs, and cats, making and selling yogurt, cheese, and ice cream, repairing trucks, tractors, and cars, mixing mortar, laying bricks, painting walls, plumbing, welding, soldering, and different kinds of practical jobs. Oh, and cooking too! Of course!!
